Key Roles

  • Designing and running fundraising on-going and ad-hoc campaigns and events, leveraging our Social Media and Website

  • Ensuring that fundraising campaigns are effective by researching potential donors and examining records of those who have given in the past

  • Designing promotional materials (advertising, marketing) to increase awareness of our organisation’s work, goals, and financial needs

 

Key Responsibilities

·     Liaise with the Basildon Mind service departments and become familiar with the work of Basildon Mind its Staff, Services, and Clients

·     Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors

·     Raise awareness within the general and local communities about Basildon Mind, its Services, Clients and need for funding

·     Research, identify and contact potential donors

·     Forge positive relationships with donors and supporters

·     Use social media and our website to raise donations

·     Organize campaigns or events to solicit donations

·     Maintain records of donor information

·     Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events

·     Scan the local environment for grant opportunities, which can be pursued by the CEO

 

Work Hours, Start Date and Duration of Position

2-3 per week (variable). This is a long-term position, which can start as soon as possible.

 

Experience Required

You should be an experienced fundraiser

You should be familiar with using social media to promote an organisation and raise funds

You must have good communication and interpersonal skills

You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including clients, colleagues, Managers, Trustees, the general public and other stakeholders

You should have a strong team working ethos

An understanding of mental health would be advantageous, but is not mandatory
