Who we are

Bawdsey Radar Trust (Charity No. 1125600) runs the award winning Suffolk radar museum on the site of the world’s first operational radar station.

These are exciting times for the Trust as it builds on a successful 2019 season which saw the museum expand its activities and outreach following grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic England and many other sponsors. The museum was also delighted to receive the Suffolk Small Museum of the Year award.

We are looking for a volunteer with enthusiasm, time and an interest in heritage. The Trust consists of ten trustees and an employed Visitor Services Manager, supported by a fantastic team of volunteers. Board meetings are held in the evening every six weeks. Attendance at sub- committee meetings and duty at the Museum will also be required.

Please send expressions of interest and a CV to [email protected] by 28th February. An information pack is available by contacting the same email address.
