In 2006 The British Association of Play Therapists Ltd was granted Charity Status by the Charities Commission (registered charity number 1115673)
The Charity’s Objects are:
To relieve the needs of children, young people and adults suffering emotional and behavioural difficulties by promoting the art and science of Play Therapy and promoting high standards in the practice of Play Therapy for the public benefit.
British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) is seeking to appoint Lay Members to join its Professional Conduct panel in the management of Complaints. To act as a 'Critical friend' to BAPT and to play a key role in maintaining standrads and proceedures in the processing of complaints received by BAPT.
You will have a child centred approach to your thinking, experience of collective decision making, the ability to develop strong relationships and be able to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability in all of BAPT's activities.
We are looking to recruit people from diverse backgrounds and therefore we encourage applications from everyone irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation and location in the UK, although interviews and most meetings will take place in central London.

The closing date for applications id Friday 20th December 2019 and interviews will be held in London on Saturday 11th January 2020.
Please note that as a volunteer led organisation meetings are usually held on a Saturday, however travel & other expenses are paid in relation to meeting the requirements of this role.
