Treasurer

Our Treasurer is a pivotal figure on the Carers Trust Board of Trustees. As well as fulfilling the duties of aTrustee, our Treasurer chairs our Finance and General Purposes Committee and sits on our Audit Committee.

Our Treasurer is responsible for maintaining an overview of Carers Trust’s financial affairs,ensuring that we have effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures in place and that the Trustee Board receives a robust and regular suite of information relating to our corporate services directorate. Put simply, our Treasurer works closely with our senior management team to ensure that the spine and engine rooms of Carers Trust are running smoothly and that our Board of Trustees has access to the right information at the right time in order to guide the charity’s ability to fulfil its mission.

We are now looking for an individual with senior financial, commercial and management experience to help Carers Trust make a difference to the lives of the nation’s over five million unpaid family carers.

The successful candidate may already be an experienced non-executive or Trustee or they might be moving into a non-executive role for the first time. In either case, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong professional skills, an understanding of what is to serve in a non-executive (rather than executive) role and an unwavering commitment to the mission and values of Carers Trust.
