Who we are

Chichester Festival Theatre creates inspiring experiences that bring people together – on and off the stage. It’s a place where exceptional stories are created and shared. We connect inventive artists with imaginative audiences. We bring theatre to schools and youth groups, to the West End and world stages, with the belief that theatre is for everyone.

The role

As a CFT trustee, you will work in a collaborative partnership between the Board and our Executive team to help us build on CFT’s artistic and organisational success in recent years and to support and guide our future strategy.

Under Kathy Bourne, Executive Director and outgoing Artistic Director, Daniel Evans, much work was done in 2022-23 to lay the foundations and set the direction for the next ten-year phase of Chichester Festival Theatre and what it means to our audiences and supporters, our community and our wider industry. Justin Audibert takes up the baton as Artistic Director from July 2023 and our Board and Executive team are working to a renewed Purpose, Vision and Values that will guide our strategy, artistic programming and business plan delivery in the years ahead.
