Who we are

Put simply, we provide training courses, publications, online funding databases, research, conferences, a bookshop and lots of free resources on our website such as top tips and best-practice articles. If you work for a charity we aim to support you in everything you do.

We’re also fighting your corner through our policy activities – working hard to make the UK a better environment for charities to thrive in and help those you’re there for.

Experience of being a trustee is not essential. All new trustees receive a full induction, are partnered with an existing trustee for their first year.If you have experience of volunteering for or using the services of small charities that would be great.  If you have led or supported or worked within BAME charities or communities you are especially welcome.  And if you can help with our digital footprint even better!

Our Trustee board wants to make sure there are a range of opinions when we make decisions about our work and are keen to find new trustees with differing perspectives and experience. We are open-minded to skilled, enthusiastic, useful people whatever their background.

You need to fill one or more of these criteria;  1. Experience of working, volunteering or using the services of small charities 2. Experience of leadership in any sector, with strong financial acumen and a commercial mindset 3. Experience of delivering digital innovation
