Who we are

We operate under the name of Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester and have approximately 45 affiliated clubs. We reach approx 6000 young people a year through this network. The clubs run a variety of activities from general youth clubs through to football and boxing. We own land and buildings including playing fields.

People with experience in each of these areas but who need not have prior trustee experience.

The financial trustee will need to have appropriate qualifications to advise the board in relation to its charitable accounting procedures and work with the internal staff and the external Independent Examiner.

The fundraising trustee will have experience in the charitable sector and preferably with sport related grants although this is not a requirement.

We are looking for people who want to see the lives of young people in Greater Manchester enhanced by involvement with community led sport and recreation and will work to support the volunteers who deliver this.

The charity has been in operation for over 110 years and aims to be sustainable for the next 100 years. We are looking for people to support this vision.
