Who we are
Each year, the Hospice cares for around 3,000 people with terminal illness, as well as their families; we do this in patients’ homes, in care homes and in our local prisons, as well as at the Hospice in our beds and outpatient facilities and at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. We provide holistic care that goes beyond physical needs; offering spiritual, social and psychological care, advice and support. We also support and educate to deliver high quality, individualised and co-ordinated end of life.

We
are now looking for a new Chair to provide leadership to the Board. This is an
exciting opportunity to work with an outstanding Board, Chief Executive and

Whether
you’re an experienced Chair or wanting to take your first step at this level,
we want to hear from you. We welcome applications from all ages and
backgrounds, and in an ongoing process to enhance the diversity of our board so
that it better represents the community we serve, we would particularly like to
hear from people from ethnically marginalised groups, particularly Black
