Grimm & Co is an arts-based literacy charity that helps children and young people to make meaning of the world around them and their place within it, through the joyful discovery of stories. Based on a foundation of research inspired by the 826 Valencia Model, this creative destination is located in Rotherham town centre but works across Yorkshire, Humberside and beyond.

We are looking for new Trustees to join our Board.
Grimm & Co are excited to be recruiting for new trustees to govern the charity and encourage fundraising, to support Grimm & Co to continue and improve the delivery of the charity’s mission – Changing Lives One Story at a Time. As a trustee, you would be working alongside a team who are engaged and eager to welcome your lived experiences, expertise and skills, to enhance our outreach, engagement and impact for children and young people in all the communities we serve.
Grimm & Co is entering the second chapter of our story within our new story destination, The Emporium of Stories. The new space creates exciting new opportunities for the charity’s work and to support our aim to build a sustainable portfolio of fundraising and income generation. This enchanting 100+ year old building offers secret doors to three new workshop areas, the Apothecary to the Magical shop surrounded by a story market with Book Nook (independent book shop), The Feastery (a story-themed café), Cliffhanger Castle (medieval banqueting/party/events/performance) and hiring of our immersive spaces for meetings, conferences and special occasions.
We are looking forward to our grand opening on the 29th of February 2024 and welcoming old, new, mortal and magical customers to a new place of awe and wonder that is sure to get the imagination going.
Grimm & Co is particularly looking for three new trustees. One of these positions is for a Treasurer so this person will need to have expertise in finance/audit. For all trustee roles, we welcome any skills, knowledge and lived experiences in fundraising, arts and culture, arts-based learning, retail, catering, events and hospitality, equality, diversity and inclusion and those who have a passion for Grimm & Co and what we do.
