Who we are
We are a registered CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organization No 1155559) and follow good governance procedures.
The HAB Centre employs a team of 8 and there is a dedicated group of around 40 volunteers that support our work. Pre-Covid we provided case work, showers, meals, clothing and medical services to over 700 clients each year.
During Covid our focus has shifted to supporting over 100 clients in temporary accommodation through food supplies, case work and practical help as well as continuing to offer advice to those new to facing homelessness.
You will join a dynamic and friendly Board of Trustees who are committed to improve the services to the homeless in the London Borough of Barnet.
HAB is the leading Charity in Barnet for supporting homeless and vulnerably housed people. The current Trustees welcome applications to join us in helping to shape the future of HAB.
We welcome applications from all age groups and aim to have a Board that reflects the diversity of our Barnet Community.
We have monthly Board meetings and there are small subcommittees that you would be welcome to join if they appealed to your interest and skills.
Trustees play a vital role in setting priorities and reviewing the impact of HAB – it is a great way to share your knowledge and experience as well as learning new skills.
For an informal discussion please contact the HAB Chair of Trustees - John Bier by email on [email protected] or on 07793060171
