KMHCF is a small charity which acts as the collective voice to represent the views and concerns of all unpaid Mental Health Carers in the Royal Borough of Kingston. We are recognised in this campaigning role by statutory services who engage us as active members of decision-making committees. We also partner with other third-sector organisations.

Our team includes both those with professional skills and also those with life experience of being a Mental Health Carer and so able to assist the individual Carers who contact us for confidential advice and guidance.

By supporting Carers’ needs, we also contribute to the wellbeing of those they care for, aiming for the best possible mental health services.

We are keen to further develop our service and, for this, we invite a volunteer Trustee with the skills to help us achieve this.

Our Trustees form our Management Committee which meets about every two months, midweek in the evening.

We are particularly keen to hear from those who can also offer to take hands-on responsibility on projects for moving the development of our service forward. This may indicate an applicant who offers professional skills, but is now retired.

If you have expertise to offer, plus an enthusiasm to serve Carers who can often feel isolated and bewildered, we’d like to hear from you.
