Who we are
We are the Neonatal Nurses Association - the national organisation representing neonatal nurses and promoting neonatal nursing for the benefit of nurses, neonates, and their families.
Our vision is for all neonatal nurses to feel confident, supported and valued in their role enabling optimisation of the neonatal experience for staff, babies and families.
As an NNA trustee you will need to be able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy, with the ability to listen and engage effectively. You will need to be able to foster and promote collaborative working and be able to conduct the role well, which includes being able to commit the time required to fulfil the role.
As an NNA trustee, you will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of different world views and an ability to work collaboratively across difference.
Key responsibilities of the role are (please see the role description for further details):
· Overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts and financial statements
· Ensuring that the charity has an appropriate reserves policy
· Preparing and presenting financial reports to the board
· Ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place
· Liaising with any paid staff and volunteers about financial matters
· Advising on the financial implications of the organisation’s strategic plans
