Who we are

Pecan is a community charity based in Southwark. We provide empowering one-to-one support, coaching, and community activities for people facing multiple barriers including; unemployment, isolation, experiences with the criminal justice system, benefit changes and low income.


The Board of Directors, referred to as Trustees, are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, developing Pecan’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory requirements. 


We are looking to recruit up to four trustees that are committed Christians, care about the needs of people in Southwark and have skills in strategic decision-making. We would love to hear from you, whether or not you have previous experience as a Trustee, so if this sounds like you, why not consider joining our Board!
