Who we are

PSPA is the only national charity offering support and information to people in the UK living with the rare, incurable, degenerative brain diseases called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). The charity also supports research into treatments and ultimately, a cure. Until then, we exist so that no one has to face living with these conditions alone

For the Treasurer role we are looking for a qualified accountant , but prior board experience is not essential. For the Chair of the Governance committee we are looking for governance experience gained either as a board member or as part of your executive career.For both roles, experience in the charity sector would be useful but is not essential.For both roles, the following skills/experience would also be of interest:- charity governance- healthcare provisioning- public policy- providing helpline/support services- influencing change in the NHS- volunteer management- social care / nursing- organisational development / talent management- fundraising- PR / media- financial oversight- risk management
