Refugee Support Devon seeks a trustee with communications or other relevant experience in the charity or business world to champion the charity’s public relations initiatives. This is a voluntary (unpaid) position.

Who we are

As a local charity, independent of statutory agencies, we support refugees and aslum seekers and their families to ensure that they are given the protection they need, are able to settle successfully in the local community, can reach their full potential, rebuild their lives in safety and dignity and be treated with respect and understanding, as equal members of society.

Our vision is for Devon to be a place where people who have had to flee from their homes in other parts of the world are welcomed and supported.

? Demonstrated leadership, communication and presentation skills


? Experience of the strategic use of social media as effective communication mechanisms to support services and activities


? Ability to work as part of a team






? Experience of working within the charity, voluntary or public sector
