Who we are

Established in March 2014 Ring20 Research and Support UK CIO has been set up to support families, individuals and professionals who are affected by, or who come into contact with Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome (r20).

We operate from the UK (England) but collaborate with many families affected by r(20) around the world and the health professionals that look after them.

We are due to embark on 2 vital medical research projects with large diagnostic companies involving patients diagnosed with Ring20. We will support our families, patients and volunteers in delivering this vital work. As we work cross countries we are open to remote opportunities from those outside of the UK particularly those in the United States.

We would like to strengthen our Trustee Board and Management Committies with expertise in key strategic areas of our operations

  • Medical Research
  • Medical Ethics & Governance
  • Digital Transformation moving from in-person services to virtual services
  • International Business Development
  • Marketing & Social Media Engagement

Time requirement is to attend management programme boards once every 6-8 weeks via Zoom and involvement in the direct activities of areas of interest as you deem appropriate. We are keen to undertake knowledge transfer and upskilling of our volunteers and support our existing trustees at this exciting time. Any time, any skills are gratefully welcome.

Those committing as Trustees would need to be able to provide medium to long term involvement to help us deliver on our strategy for the next 12 -18 months.
