Who we are
Social Anxiety Alliance UK aims to provide information and resources for individuals suffering from social anxiety and social phobia, alongside providing public educational information on this common yet often under-publicised mental health problem.
The charity promotes a society where Social Anxiety is much better understood, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information is easily available and where nobody feels ashamed to say they have social anxiety or to ask for help.
The role
This is an important opportunity to help shape and develop the UK’s first Social Anxiety charity.
We are ideally looking for trustees with previous charity trustee experience or with experience working in the mental health sector.
Trustees will typically lead on a particular project depending on their skill set e.g. editorial content, web site development, social media, networking with other charities, policies and procedures, funding/grants, human resources, marketing, video/YouTube content, review and development of social anxiety content, courses and resources.
Other opportunities are available depending on your experience and skill set.
We are a friendly board, getting involved will mean that you can work with us on website content, charity governance and take an active role on particular projects that suit your skills. We hold trustee board meetings for approximately 60 minutes every four weeks.
