Who we are
We champion wildlife and natural places everywhere in Sussex and inspire people to take action for nature.
Sussex Wildlife Trust is a conservation charity for everyone who cares about nature in Sussex. We focus on protecting the wonderfully rich natural life that is found across our towns, countryside and coast. By working alongside local people we create opportunities for us all to connect with nature and for nature to thrive in even the most unlikely places. Together we can make sure that future generations living in Sussex will be able to enjoy the sense of wonder and well-being that nature offers.
The role
We are looking for people who the relevant knowledge gained from life and work. You will need a high level of personal integrity, have heaps of enthusiasm for our work and a passion for wildlife. We would particularly welcome applications from women and people from a minority ethnic background.
We are particularly interested in people with specific interest and knowledge in either of the following:
- Experience/knowledge/passion in either conservation, ecology, land management or natural history
- Experience/knowledge in digital transformation and change management
Giving their time for free like all our volunteers, our Trustees play a vital role in all aspects of our work – they bring a wide range of knowledge, expertise and experience to the charity.
