Who we are
Founded by teachers and school leaders in 2012, the Teacher Development Trust (TDT) is the national charity for effective professional development in schools and colleges. We are dedicated to improving the educational
outcomes of children by ensuring they experience the most effective learning. We build tools to help teachers transform their practice and achieve success for all their pupils.
As a trustee, you’ll use your specific skills, knowledge, or experience to help us reach sound decisions that enable us to fulfil our statutory obligations and achieve our goals. Your guidance may involve evaluating current programs, offering advice on new initiatives, or providing expertise in specific areas.
One of the exciting aspects of being a trustee at TDT is playing a key role in shaping our strategic direction. This involves ensuring that we remain focused on our mission and values, while also supporting our five-year strategy to expand our reach and support more schools and educational settings. By joining our board, you’ll have the chance to develop new skills, meet new people, and make a real difference to the lives of young people.
We are actively looking to welcome a diverse range of talents, fresh thinking and lived experience.
In pursuit of our commitment to board diversity we are also keen to hear from those under 30 years, who want to to take up their first Trustee role.
On this occasion, the Board is particularly keen to recruit Trustees with experience in any of the following areas:
Driven to make a difference?
Passionate about education and its potential to change lives?
Willing to lead discussions, enter into debate and challenge ideas?
