Who we are
The Community Foundation for Staffordshire is an independent charity dedicated to strengthening local communities across Staffordshire and Shropshire. We aim to tackle issues of disadvantage and exclusion through the building of permanent endowments and the allocation of grants. The Foundation is one of more than 40 Community Foundations throughout the United Kingdom, and we are a member of ‘UKCF‘, who promote closer working and opportunities for all Foundations throughout the country.
The Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Shropshire is the leading independent grant-giving body in Staffordshire and Shropshire. We award more than £2m each year to voluntary and community groups, registered charities and social enterprises across our area. We are based in Stafford, with a satellite office in Telford, and are committed to supporting our local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.
We are looking to expand our board and have positions available for people who are embedded in their local communities. You may already have served on a board as a charity trustee, but we are especially keen to hear from people who might otherwise be under-represented on boards, or from under-represented communities.
Applications will close on Friday 5th January 2024. We will hold interviews, which may be virtual, the week commencing 15th January. Any successful candidates will be invited to attend our board meetings from March 2024.
