Who we are

The Juno Project is a small charity that has been empowering young women aged 11-16 with complex vulnerabilities, for 5 years. Our workshops provide positive female role models, and create safe and reflective environments, in which young women can begin to explore their experiences, behaviours and core beliefs along with learning tools to support emotional regulation and resilience. explore their own agency and create powerful, positive stories about what they can achieve.

The role

We would particularly welcome applications from young women and Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority candidates, as these are under-represented in the charity sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of girls and young women: 75% of the young women we support have one or more adverse childhood experience and 95% have poor school attendance; without the right support, and the right tools, many of them will leave school unable to grow beyond their trauma and to reach their potential, often leading to poor overall life outcomes and strain on health, social and community resources. Your drive and passion in attracting new sources of funding will play a vital part in our success and our growth.

You will be central to the development and monitoring of our fundraising strategy and review of wider our long term strategic plans; help to develop organisational policies, profitable and fulfilling working relationships with the trustees, and the Chief Executive, through review and self-reflective evaluation of the contributions and effectiveness of the board.

In relation to the community, you will represent the organisation as a spokesperson at appropriate events, meetings or functions and lead the Board in fostering relations with potential clients and potential funders/donors.
