The Retreat Association is a Christian-based organisation which seeks to enable people to explore and deepen their spiritual journey through retreats and reflective activities. We are seeking a Trustee to join our small but dynamic team.

Who we are

The Retreat Association is a Christian-based organisation which helps people take time out. This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity at a key stage in its development and to make a real difference within a small, dedicated team.

The main duties of the role would include:

  1. Advising the Executive Director and Trustees on effective ways to raise funds for the charity, including the development of supporters and other income streams.
  2. To advise the Executive Director and Trustees on ways to market the charity including an understanding of the charity’s key subscribers, creating a compelling message, identifying and using appropriate marketing channels.
  3. To advise the Executive Director and Trustees on how to increase the profile of the RA via local and national media channels (including the press, radio, website and social media).

The trustees meet 4 times a year (daytime, usually in London but currently online). This appointment could also involve membership of the Events and Fundraising sub-committee, which meets 4 times a year.
