Who we are
The Vitiligo Society is a London based charity founded in 1985 whose main aim is to support people with the skin condition, vitiligo. Vitiligo affects 1-2% of the world's population and commonly has detrimental psychological effects. We have recently completed a significant digital transformation and are embarking on an exciting new era. We are eager to appoint a new Clinical Director to be the Society's lead for all medical matters.
As the Clinical Director, you will have:
· A medical background or qualification
· A passion or specialism in skin conditions, ideally with an interest in vitiligo
· An interest in the secondary, often psychological, affects of vitiligo
We're looking for self-starters who want to roll up their sleeves and put their skills to use to help others. We’re interested to speak to people excited by by the opportunity to make a difference not only in delivering their responsibilities but also by improving the lives of thousands of people with vitiligo.
This role is on a volunteer basis and expected to take up a minimum of around 4 hours per month. You can be located anywhere in the UK, but will be expected to travel to London around twice per year. Most Board meetings will be done via video conference. In all cases, the roles require a bias towards digital and web-based initiatives. This is a Director role, and will join the Board of Directors, with full voting rights.
