As TRAIN’s Trustee for Finance, you’ll be the financial rock star keeping our charity on track! You’ll oversee our financial health, ensure solid measures and controls are in place, and provide feedback and advice to the board.

Who we are

TRAIN exists to improve the life opportunities of young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot and Wallingford, especially those who are in need, disadvantaged or vulnerable, by empowering them to make informed decisions, attain stability, and become integrated members of society.

We empower young people to develop a strong sense of self-worth, make good life choices, and accept and value their right to healthy relationships. Through engaging young people with our services, we watch their relationships


The role

Your tasks include:

  • Shaping our financial strategy and financial model
  • Monitoring risks and forecasting
  • Supporting the CEO with financial insights and cash-flow
  • Helping prepare the annual accounts and budgets
  • Working with accountants and independent examiners

You are:

A finance pro who can get the wider team excited, engaged and up-skilled in finance, andyou’re passionate about helping young people thrive. Ideally you’ve got some experience ofcharity finance, and if not, you’re a quick learner!
