Who we are
University of Westminster Students Union, is a registered charity that operates within the University of Westminster buildings. Our core purpose is to represent the academic needs of Westminster students. We do this by supporting them with academic issues, ensuring their voices are heard at key university decision making committees and running a social programme of student groups and events.
Finance Lead Expectations
To Support the Chair of the Finance & Risk Committee, contributing to inclusive meetings, ensuring all voices arerespected and heard, and effective decision-making.Provide mentorship and support to the Director of Finance & People.Contribute to UWSU’s finance, fundraising, and reserves strategies and provide support in setting objectives andevaluating performance.Support senior leaders to ensure the charity is in a sound financial position and meeting regular targets relating tofundraising, commercial income and reserves.Ensure structures are in place to enable the Board to have effective oversight of UWSU’s finances, so that it can ensureits use of resources aligns with the strategic plan and the needs of members.Work closely with the Director of Finance & People to ensure sound financial management of UWSU.
