Trustee at Community Schools Trust
Responsible to: Chair of the MAT Board
Remuneration: Not applicable – voluntary position
Are you a committed, visionary professional who is passionate about education and community impact? Community Schools Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as a Trustee and help shape the future of education in London and Norfolk.
The role is multifaceted, involving setting the vision and strategic direction of the trust, overseeing budget allocation, agreeing on policies and procedures, holding the CEO accountable, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Trustees are expected to attend meetings once per half term in the evening, participate in school visits, undergo induction and safeguarding training, and adhere to the Trust’s Code of Conduct and the Seven Principles of Public Life. The Trust values diversity and seeks Trustees from various backgrounds who are passionate about education and maximizing the Trust’s effectiveness. We particularly welcome applications from women and people from black and global majority backgrounds.
