Who we are

TIC+ provides comprehensive support services to children and young people (aged 9-25), parents and professionals, including counselling (online, remote, and face-to-face), helplines, live online sessions and training programmes for counsellors at various levels, ensuring easy access to tailored support for individuals’ needs. Over the past two years, we’ve provided 36,528 counselling sessions, addressing various issues like depression, anxiety, and self-harm.


The role

About TIC+: TIC+ provides comprehensive support services to children and young people (aged 9-25), parents and professionals, including counselling (online, remote, and face-to-face), helplines, live online sessions and training programmes for counsellors at various levels, ensuring easy access to tailored support for individuals’ needs. Over the past two years, we’ve provided 36,528 counselling sessions, addressing various issues like depression, anxiety, and self-harm.

Trustee Opportunity: As a Trustee, you’ll play a crucial role in providing oversight and strategic direction to our work both in Gloucestershire and to help us expand across the country. With an expected time commitment of 4-12 hours per month, you’ll contribute to board meetings, subcommittee meetings, and annual strategy sessions.

Essential Criteria:

  • A strong commitment to the emotional well-being of children and young people
  • Genuine Christian faith
  • Relevant skills and experience
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Minimum age of 18

Priority Areas of Focus: We are seeking a variety of expertise and lived experience including:

  • Financial experience, especially charity finance
  • Clinical skills in child and adolescent mental health services, therapy, psychology or psychiatry
  • HR/employment law or policy
  • Clinical governance
  • Safeguarding
  • Service development experience
  • Leading through growth and expansion
  • Fundraising
  • Charity law
