The role

Trustee
London

About Us

We’re Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s, and the Western Eye.

Our charitable remit allows us to support the National Health Service to relieve sickness
and to support the preservation of health, primarily of people living in north west London.

To that end, we fund major redevelopments, medical equipment, research, and innovation as well as helping patients and their families at times of sudden and unexpected financial difficulty. Fundraising through major appeals and community events enables us to deliver our programmes and continue our essential work.

Supporting the arts in healthcare, we manage an Arts Council accredited hospital art collection and run an extensive arts engagement programme.

In partnership with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we have developed a volunteering programme that supports our local community to develop their knowledge and ability to increase their employability skills, access employment opportunities within health and social care and engage in volunteering at our hospitals.

We are now looking for two Trustees to join our Board on a voluntary basis for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of one or (exceptionally) two further three-year terms to be served. There are 7-10 meetings per year for Board and Committee work and the workload should be less than 2 days per month.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate individual with an IT or volunteering background to join our dedicated team of Trustees.

In this fulfilling role, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, helping to enhance patient care, support NHS staff, and strengthen community wellbeing.

So, if you want to make a tangible difference, read on and apply today!

You will also act as an ambassador for the charity, advocating for its work and helping to maximise its impact.
