The role
As
Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, this trustee will:
- Ensure
the charity keeps proper accounts - Review
the charity’s financial performance and budget - Oversee
policies for finance and investment - Ensure
that the charity has robust and effective financial controls in place - Evaluate
the risk register - Oversee
the appointment of an external auditor - Oversee
the annual audit process including review of the external auditor’s management
letter and management response.
The
basic time commitment for this role is as follows:
· Quarterly
Board meetings (virtual / hybrid)
· Quarterly
Finance Committee meetings (virtual)
· Annual
Strategy Day (October/November) (virtual/ hybrid)
