Who we are
Renaissance Foundation is a specialist London-based youth charity providing support to young carers and young people with chronic illness, aged between 12 – 18. Our vision is that no young person should be held back because of their caring responsibilities or health condition. It’s our mission to empower young carers and patients to develop core skills, prepare for successful transition to adulthood and reach their full potential using world-class inspirational opportunities.
The role
What will you be doing?
You’ll provide strategic HR leadership across both operational and governance matters. Working closely with our Senior Management Team, you’ll be their trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, and staff development. Your expertise will help ensure our people practices enable our team to thrive and deliver exceptional work for young Londoners.
A key responsibility will be ensuring our HR documents, processes, and procedures are not only fit for purpose but legally compliant. As a small charity, we need your expertise to navigate the complexities of employment law and best practice, protecting both our organisation and our valued team members.
You’ll lead our annual board effectiveness and skills review, ensuring our governance remains strong and that we identify and address any skills gaps. This strategic oversight will help Renaissance Foundation maintain the high-quality board leadership needed to guide our growth.
As a member of our Remuneration & Nominations Committee, you’ll play a direct role in key decisions about compensation, board composition, and succession planning. You’ll work alongside our Chair on trustee and advisor recruitment, ensuring we bring in the right expertise to support our mission.
You’ll also support the SMT on employee recruitment, helping us attract, select, and onboard talented individuals who share our passion for transforming young lives.
