Who we are
Alfie’s Cat Rescue wishes to see a local community free of suffering for cats and kittens, and will do this through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming. We will seek to reduce the long term causes of cat suffering, including education for cat owners, and neutering for feral and community cats.
The role
What will you be doing?
As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of Alfie’s Cat Rescue and making a real difference to the lives of cats.
This year we are aiming to grow significantly following our foundation year, including formalising ourselves as a charity with the Charity Commission.
Therefore we’re looking for trustees with experience of working with start ups and formalising an organisation.
You’ll work closely with our operational volunteers who run the rescue and there will be opportunities to connect with a range of people who are all dedicated to improving the lives of cats.
What are we looking for?
- A commitment to the organisation.
- A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort.
- Strategic vision.
- Good, independent judgement.
- An ability to think creatively.
- A willingness to speak their mind.
- An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship.
- An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
