Who we are

Vincentian Care Plus takes its name and inspiration from Saint Vincent de Paul. The goal of Vincentian Care Plus is to translate St Vincent’s spirit and values into our home care service for today’s needs – promoting ability, independence, choice and quality of life in later years.

We are an independent charity, established in 2004, supporting people privately and via social service referrals. Vincentian Care Plus is governed by its Board of Trustees and regulated and inspected by the CQC.

The role

Vincentian Care Plus (VCP) is a registered charity committed to delivering high-quality domiciliary care and support services to individuals in our community. We are dedicated to promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for those we serve.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our governance, we are seeking to appoint dedicated and experienced individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

We are particularly interested in recruiting trustees with expertise in the following areas:

  • Finance – A qualified accountant or individual with a strong financial background to support financial oversight, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
  • Legal – A qualified lawyer to provide guidance on legal compliance, governance, contracts, and regulatory matters.
  • Health & Social Care – A professional with experience in health and social care to contribute sector insight, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and service development expertise.
  • Human Resources (HR) – A professional with HR experience to support workforce strategy, employment law compliance, organisational development, and good people management practices.
  • Role of a Trustee

    Trustees are responsible for:

    • Ensuring the charity operates in line with its mission and values
    • Providing strategic direction and effective governance
    • Safeguarding the charity’s assets and reputation
    • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

This is a voluntary role with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Board meetings are held periodically, and trustees are expected to actively contribute to discussions and decision-making.
