Who we are
The Brighton Natural Health Foundation (BNHF) works to make Brighton a happier, healthier and more connected city by providing free and accessible mindful-movement classes—including yoga, qigong and Pilates—to people who face the greatest barriers to wellbeing. Our mission is to remove financial, physical and cultural obstacles so that everyone, regardless of circumstance, can access practices that support long-term physical and mental health.
The role
Working with the BNHF Director and the Board, key aspects of the role include to:
Strategic Marketing & Communications

Advise the Board on marketing strategy, branding, and communications priorities

Support the development of a clear and compelling marketing plan aligned with the charity’s mission

Provide insight into audience engagement, digital trends, and brand positioning

Review and update marketing processes and guidelines, including policies and codes of conduct

Act as chair of the Marketing Sub-committee
Digital & Social Media

Guide the BNHF Director and marketing staff on best practices for digital marketing, including social platforms, website content, newsletters, and campaigns

Help evaluate digital performance and recommend improvements
Fundraising & Public Engagement

Support marketing efforts for fundraising events, donor campaigns, and community partnerships

Help ensure consistent, inspiring messaging that clearly communicates BNHF’s impact
Trustee Responsibilities (all trustees)

Attend and actively participate in Board and relevant sub-committee meetings

Provide constructive challenge, oversight and support to the senior team

Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries

Promote the charity externally and help build a strong, positive reputation
