Who we are
Carlisle Key is a charity dedicated to supporting young people in Carlisle who face homelessness and housing insecurity, primarily those aged 16-25. Our mission is to provide practical, emotional, and social support to these individuals to help them achieve independence, build resilience, and improve their overall well-being. We achieve this through a drop-in centre, supported accommodation, and programs aimed at mental health, financial literacy, and employability.
The role
We’re seeking committed and compassionate trustees to join our Board, guiding the charity’s vision and supporting our strategic goals. Trustees play a key role in decision-making, governance, and long-term planning to ensure our services continue meeting the community’s needs.
Skills required:
Ideal candidates will have skills in finance, fundraising, legal, HR, or experience in the nonprofit sector. Passion for improving young people’s lives and familiarity with homelessness or social care is beneficial.
