Who we are

A new report has shown that across our(CACT) programmes in South East London and Kent, a social value of £49,609,000 has been generated. This means that for every £1 the charity invests in a one-year period, £9.52 is created.
The role
CACT is a charity that predominantly serves diverse and disadvantaged communities in South East London and Kent. CACT works in partnership with local authorities, health organisations, support agencies and other charities to deliver a variety of programmes that aim to empower local communities, change lives and address issues around health, crime, education and employment.
CACT’s trustees have responsibilities under both company law as directors and under charity law, as trustees. Trustees play a vital role in the strategic leadership and direction of the charity, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, setting the vision for the Trust, ensuring financial probity and holding the executive to account through support and challenge, informed by evidence-based practice.
Through your contribution, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference by ‘helping us to be the best at getting better’ on our journey to become a market leader. You will actively support, through your unique expertise and skill set, an award-winning charity that has an excellent reputation within the local community, as well as farther afield, for delivering quality, life-changing services with a lasting impact.
CACT’s highly committed and experienced board of trustees represents a range of backgrounds, experiences, specialist knowledge and skills. At this stage in our development, we are particularly looking for outstanding individuals who ideally have experience in one or more of the following: IT/digital transformation, business development, youth and community voice, ESG and social value. However, we welcome applications from others who feel they can add value to our ambitions and purpose.
