The role
Are you passionate about strong, healthy and connected communities?
Do you want to make a real difference in the Derbyshire Dales?
We’re Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service – a friendly, committed team supporting voluntary and community groups across the area. We provide advice, training and hands-on support to local groups, champion the voluntary sector and run projects that help disadvantaged individuals and communities thrive.
We’re looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help steer our organisation into the future. This is a great opportunity to contribute your voice, skills and energy to something meaningful.
You will have a range of skills to offer, so please don’t be put off if you can’t tick these boxes, but we’re especially interested in people with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:
1. HR
2. Fundraising
4. Health / mental health social care
3. ICT / digital strategy
You don’t need to be a charity expert – if you have a good head for organisations, a connection to our communities and a collaborative spirit, we’d love to hear from you. Your experience might come from the private, public, or voluntary sectors.
What to expect:
- Voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
- 6 Board meetings per year (usually 2 hours each)
- Training, online and in person
- Meetings held in Bakewell or the local area – with virtual access available
Let’s strengthen Derbyshire Dales together.
