Who we are

Endometriosis South Coast is an inclusive charity set up to support people who haven’t started their diagnosis journey, are going through the diagnosis stages, or have been diagnosed with Endometriosis and/or Adenomyosis. The role

Endometriosis South Coast is a small but passionate charity dedicated to supporting people with endometriosis and adenomyosis. We offer peer support, raise awareness, challenge stigma, and campaign for better care. Our team is made up of volunteers with lived experience, and we’re growing fast. To support our development, we are recruiting new trustees to help guide our work and ensure we remain inclusive, transparent, and sustainable.

As a trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the charity. You’ll work closely with the board and wider team to ensure we meet our charitable objectives, remain compliant with our legal responsibilities, and continue to meet the needs of our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively contribute to quarterly trustee meetings (virtual or hybrid)

  • Help set the charity’s strategic direction

  • Ensure the charity is carrying out its purposes for public benefit

  • Monitor financial and operational performance

  • Champion our values of inclusion, equity, and lived experience

  • Act as an ambassador for the charity in your networks

Who We’re Looking For:

We welcome applications from anyone passionate about our cause, especially those with lived experience of endometriosis or adenomyosis. We are particularly keen to hear from people from underrepresented communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, disabled people, and people from Black, Asian and other racially marginalised backgrounds.

We’re also interested in candidates with skills or experience in:

  • Charity governance

  • Finance or fundraising

  • HR and people management

  • Community engagement

  • Digital communications
