Who we are
Godly Play UK is a Christian movement centred on childhood spirituality providing training, advice and support for those who use the Godly Play method. Our vision is for childhood spirituality to be taken seriously.
The role
Registered as a charity in 2006, the Godly Play UK Trust supports the work of Godly Play practitioners in England and Wales, and particularly the trainers, who work across the country delivering a variety of courses in person and online.
In a world where children’s emotional and spiritual health matters more than ever, we offer a non-directive approach that is rooted in play, story, creativity and language development to explore meaning in our lives.
Our work is expanding and developing at present, following a lull during the pandemic years. We would welcome people who will challenge us to think more widely and explore new steps forward.
The Trustees meet via Zoom four times a year for two hours, as well as an annual face-to-face meeting with Godly Play UK trainers. In between formal meetings, individual trustees offer advice and support on an ad-hoc basis from their own areas of expertise and interest.
At present experience in strategy, marketing and finance would be particularly valuable to us.
