Who we are
A charity that provides ongoing long-term support for vulnerable adults who live with enduring mental ill-health and struggle with living independently. Our Outreach Service offers support to people referred to us by local Community Mental Health Teams and Adult Social Services, helping with any daily tasks they might be finding overwhelming – including help with budgeting and money management, nutrition and cooking, dealing with incoming mail, and engaging with community activities.
The role
We are looking for 3 more Trustees to join our Board, as the Charity has grown and developed greatly over the past 3 years.
Previous experience on a Charity Board would be useful, but not essential.
Accounting knowledge would be useful.
Fundraising knowledge would be useful.
Lived experience of having a loved one with a mental illness would be good, but not essential.
A willingness to attend 4 or 5 Board meetings a year, often held via Zoom – and a willingness to get involved in the work of the charity to the point of being able to oversee, advise and agree strategies, best practices, and ways forward.
Familiarity with Charity law and compliance issues is essential, and training will be provided. Commitment to complete the training is essential.
