Health Services Research UK is seeking three new Trustees to help guide our mission to ensure that high‑quality health and social care research leads to better services and outcomes for people and communities.

Who we are

HSR UK is a self-supporting membership organisation dedicated to the promotion of health services research in policy and practice. The collective voice of UK health services research, we connect researchers with health service leaders, managers and clinicians to drive improvement and innovation in the NHS and care system.


The role

​We are a small, ambitious charity with an active and supportive
Board. We particularly welcome applicants from outside the research community,
as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds and those with lived experience
of health and care services. Broadening the perspectives on our Board is
central to our values and future direction.

What
we are looking for

We welcome interest from people with experience in one or more of
the following areas:

  • Business development or income generation (including grants,
    commissioning or third sector experience)
  • Health or social care delivery, whether clinical, managerial or
    lived experience
  • Public involvement, co‑production or inclusive research
  • Finance or governance

What
the role involves

  • Around half a day to one day per month
  • Five online Board meetings per year, plus our AGM
  • Optional involvement in sub‑committees and our annual conference
  • Reasonable expenses reimbursed in line with our policy
