Who we are
Our mission at Holding Hearts is to extend our reach to hospitals across the UK, providing essential baby loss resources and memory hearts to families grieving the loss of a baby.
The role
What will you be doing?
Holding Hearts supports families navigating the heartbreak of baby or child loss. We create and gift handcrafted memory hearts to bereaved parents, and our work is rooted in love, empathy and remembrance. As we grow, we are strengthening our board of trustees and would love to hear from people who want to help shape our next chapter.
We are currently looking for new trustees who can take a lead in key areas. You do not need previous trustee experience, just reliability, warmth and a desire to make a real impact. The roles we are looking to fill include:
- Trustee lead for administration
- Trustee lead for governance and finance (also Vice Chair)
- Trustee lead for fundraising and volunteer coordination
We meet quarterly and keep things flexible around other commitments. You will be joining a small, heart-led team that values connection and kindness as much as strategy and structure.
If you are passionate about supporting grieving families and want to be part of a charity with real heart, we would love to hear from you.
What are we looking for?
You do not need previous trustee experience. We welcome people from all backgrounds who bring empathy, reliability, and skills in any of the following areas:
- Charity finance or governance
- Fundraising or income generation
- Volunteer coordination
- Lived experience of baby or child loss
- Administration and organisation
- Legal, HR, marketing or communications
If you’re passionate about supporting grieving families and want to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
What difference will you make?
By joining our board, you will help shape how Holding Hearts grows and how we reach more families in need of comfort after loss. Your skills and ideas will directly influence how we fundraise, support volunteers, and run our day-to-day operations. You will be part of something meaningful – helping to ensure that no grieving parent feels forgotten, and that love and remembrance remain at the heart of everything we do.
