Who we are

Our vision is that every pet will thrive in a loving home. Our mission is to improve the lives of pets by providing rehoming, educational and practical support to animal owners in our communities. We rehome cats and dogs at all our Centres together with a variety of other animals depending on the facilities available. Our Centres are open to the public to encourage interaction and education, so that people have a better understanding of what it means to take care of an animal.

The role

We are keen to encourage applications from people representing the communities where we work – Berkshire, Cornwall, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. This is not a pre-requisite, but the successful applicant will need to be able to attend our Trustee meetings which are held quarterly (in person), near our Head Office on the outskirts of Watford.

We are particularly interested to hear from individuals with experience in Property & Estate Management or with a Legal background who can give freely of their time. You will have a commitment to animal welfare, will complement the skills and talents of the existing Trustees, will think strategically, work collaboratively and be able to make a significant contribution. Plenty of training and support will be given and whatever your background, you will bring a different perspective to the board which will be invaluable.
