Who we are
During 40 years of operating in Leicester, we have evolved into a specialist service for women with multiple unmet needs, and now work with over 400 women a year from across Leicestershire. A strong focus of our work today is supporting women referred to us through the Police and Probation services.
The role
New Dawn New Day’s board is looking for several Trustees to increase the skills, knowledge and capacity of the board. Desirable skills and experience include strategic planning, HR and fundraising, but equally important is a desire to bring strong ideas and the ability to deliver solutions in a collaborative manner from a range of backgrounds.
In addition we would expect Trustees to:
Ensure good governance, by providing support and leadership to inspire the charity to achieve its aims and meet the needs of vulnerable clients.
Help to develop a long term, sustainable future of the charity as it meets the challenges of operating in a reducing public sector environment.
Work in collaboration both within and outside the charity to find innovative solutions to achieving funding and operational objectives.
Act as an ambassador for the charity, raising our profile with stakeholders and opinion formers.
