Who we are
We offer 1-2-1 and group support to those who have experienced pregnancy loss(es) or are pregnant after loss(es) via Zoom. The organisation is supported by peer support pregnancy loss coaches with lived experience of pregnancy loss. We also deliver Pregnancy Loss and the Workplace training.
The role
As a Trustee you will:
- provide strategic oversight and governance
- ensure the charity operates in lines with its mission, values and legal responsibilities
- support the development of sustainable funding and partnerships
- act as an ambassador for the foundation
- contribute to a culture of integrity, compassion and accountability
- work collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the Founder
This is a voluntary role, requiring attendance at bi-monthly board meetings virtually and one day in Birmingham per year, plus occasional strategic input meetings.
Skills we are seeking
We welcome applications from individuals with one or more of the following skills:
- Charity governance and compliance
- Fundraising strategy and income diversification
- Finance or accountancy
- HR and people management
- Safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
- legal expertise
- Corporate partnerships or business development
- Marketing, brand or communications
- lived experience of pregnancy Loss (valued but not essential)
We are particularly interested in Trustees who can help strengthen our organisational sustainability and impact measurement as expand our workplace training and peer support services.
The Person we are looking for
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Compassionate and emotionally intelligent
- Committed to dignity in grief and bereavement care
- Strategically minded but relational in approach
- Willing to challenge constructively and think long-term
- Respectful of diverse cultural, social and faith perspectives
- Comfortable working in a small but ambitious charity environment
Most importantly you believe that pregnancy loss deserves more that sympathy – it deserves structured, informed, community-led support.
