#GreatHires: Family Fund Welcomes New Trustees to Strengthen its Mission

Family Fund, a leading charity supporting families raising disabled and seriously ill children, is delighted to announce the appointment of three new trustees who bring diverse expertise and invaluable insights to the organization’s vital work.

1. Michal Noe – Trustee

With over 20 years of experience in the third sector, Michal Noe has a remarkable background in growing and advising charities and foundations. As both a consultant and sitting trustee, she has contributed significantly to the growth and success of various charitable initiatives. Notably, Michal is the founder of One Great Day, an organization dedicated to raising funds for children’s health charities across the UK. The creation of One Great Day was inspired by her son’s treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Residing in London with her husband and five children, Michal’s passion for helping others extends to her love for entertaining friends and traveling. Her extensive experience and dedication to philanthropy make her a valuable addition to Family Fund’s trustee board.

2. Ian Thomas – Trustee

Ian Thomas’s journey began as a youth worker and teacher in Penrhiwceiber, located in the South Wales valleys. He later held leadership positions at prominent organizations, such as the Alzheimer’s Society and Scope, making him a well-known figure in the field of social welfare. Ian’s tenure as Chief Executive for Age Cymru and Trivallis, a significant Welsh housing association, has been marked by transformative contributions to the community.

Currently managing his own business, Ian resides in Swansea with his wife, daughter, and three feline companions. His wealth of experience in the social sector and commitment to empowering vulnerable individuals will undoubtedly bolster Family Fund’s mission to support families and children in need.

3. Paul Bass – Trustee

Paul Bass’s extensive 35-year career with NatWest Group has provided him with a multifaceted skill set that enriches the trustee board of Family Fund. As Marketing Operations Director, he has held various senior roles within the bank, including Communications and HR, along with front-line and project management positions. Born and raised in York, Paul has lived in Dunfermline, Scotland, for the past 21 years.

Married with two grown-up daughters, Paul’s deep-rooted experience in the corporate sector and his dedication to community welfare make him an exceptional asset to Family Fund’s governance.

The appointment of Michal Noe, Ian Thomas, and Paul Bass as trustees at Family Fund reinforces the organization’s commitment to excellence and its focus on empowering families raising disabled and seriously ill children. These accomplished individuals will play an integral role in steering the charity forward, ensuring that it continues to make a profound impact on the lives of those it serves.
