Exploring “From Tokenism to Agency” with Darren Franklin for Trustees’ Week

As part of our continued commitment to Trustees’ Week, Trustees Unlimited was pleased to welcome Darren Franklin, Doctoral Fellow at Henley Business School, for an insightful session on the theme “Moving from tokenism to agency” within charity boards.

The discussion drew strong engagement from attendees and created a valuable space to reflect on how boards can move beyond representation toward meaningful influence and participation. Darren’s research and practical guidance offered a thoughtful and constructive lens for organisations seeking to strengthen governance and create environments where every trustee can contribute with confidence.

At Trustees Unlimited, we remain committed to supporting trustees and boards through opportunities that encourage learning, reflection and positive organisational change.

Our thanks to Darren for leading such an important and timely conversation.
