Celebrating #BCorpMonth: Insights, Connections & Impact at Somerset House

A great way to kick off B Corp Month was at the B Corp Breakfast on 10th March, held in the beautiful setting of Somerset House. It was one of those early starts that felt worth it. The room was buzzing with energy, conversation and a shared sense of purpose.

Working across Trustees Unlimited and Russam, both proud B Corps, it’s always encouraging to see the momentum of the community when we come together.

We heard from Chris Turner, who spoke about the importance of storytelling within the B Corp community, how each of our journeys, challenges and successes contribute to something bigger. That theme carried through the morning, including from Paul Wilkins, who hosted and shared more about the thinking behind Conversio. What stood out was their focus on truly understanding people, looking beyond the surface of what customers do, and instead uncovering the “why” behind their behaviour. It’s about using insight and curiosity to shape better, more human experiences, echoing the wider B Corp ethos: taking the time to listen, learn and do things better.

We also heard from a range of fellow B Corps, including MakerversityVolans and Huel, each sharing their own journeys and perspectives. There were also great insights from B Local co-chairs Molly Gould and Hannah Keartland, highlighting the power of regional communities in driving collective impact.

In the spirit of sharing stories, it was just as valuable to connect one-to-one. I had some great conversations with fellow B Corps who were generous with their time. It was a pleasure speaking with Caitlin Drown from Blakeney Group, who shared how they support organisations tackling complex challenges through thoughtful communications and public affairs work. I also spoke with Frances Solnik from Learn Amp, whose work focuses on helping people and organisations grow together through better learning and development. And with Charlotte Davis from Magnus Consulting, who talked about helping businesses bring clarity and momentum to their growth journeys.

There were also plenty of quick conversations in between where we didn’t exchange full details but still connected over a shared commitment to doing business differently.

That was perhaps was the biggest takeaway for me… a room full of organisations showing up, listening, sharing their stories, and helping to spread the word about what B Corp can be.
