Brigantia Learning Trust is a values-led Multi Academy Trust of four academies, serving learners aged 2–19 in Sheffield. Our work is rooted in the belief that education changes lives, and that every young person deserves access to opportunities that unlock their full potential.

The role
As a volunteer Trustee, we are committed to making your

The Role of a Trustee
Trustees play a critical leadership role in ensuring the
Trust fulfils its charitable purpose and serves its communities effectively. As
a Trustee, you will:
- Set
and safeguard the Trust’s ethos and strategic direction - Monitor
performance and hold the CEO to account - Represent
the voices and needs of our diverse communities - Oversee
financial performance and legal compliance - Ensure
decisions are made with equity, integrity, and purpose

We are particularly looking for people with:

Commitment
The role is voluntary and designed to be manageable
alongside other responsibilities. We ask for:
- Attendance
at 4–6 Board meetings per year - Participation
in at least one committee or working group - Occasional
attendance at school or Trust events (encouraged)
