Who we are
Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK (SHH-UK) is a vibrant and purpose-driven charity dedicated to supporting healthcare workers across the UK living with Long Covid. These heroes, who selflessly cared for us during our times of need, now face uncertain futures both financially and personally. At SHH-UK, we are committed to providing the comprehensive support they need to overcome these challenges.
The role
We are looking for people who share our commitment to supporting healthcare workers affected by Long Covid and who are keen to help a growing charity make a lasting difference. You don’t need previous trustee experience—we welcome first-time trustees as well as those with board experience. We’re looking for people who can think strategically, work collaboratively, and bring sound judgement, integrity and enthusiasm to our board.
We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in areas such as healthcare, communications, fundraising, finance, governance, HR, digital, legal, policy, research or lived experience of Long Covid. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive board and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, communities and experiences. Whatever your background, if you are passionate about improving the lives of healthcare workers and can contribute your skills and perspectives, we’d love to hear from you.
