The role
We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative Treasurer who can bring strong financial insight, strategic thinking and constructive challenge to our Board.
We’re particularly keen to hear from someone who brings good experience of finance within the charity sector and understands the particular financial and governance environment in which charities operate. This is important to us, as we’re looking for someone who can bring that understanding to our financial planning and decision-making from the outset. Experience of charity accounts, audit and year-end processes would also be very valuable.
You’ll lead on financial oversight and reporting to the Board, chair our quarterly Finance Sub-Group and work closely with our Chief Executive and Financial Controller to help shape our longer-term financial planning and strategy.
Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is happy to take a practical, hands-on approach when needed. You’ll be comfortable making sense of complex financial information and explaining it clearly to people who may not have a finance background.
We’d love to hear from someone who is enthusiastic about using their financial expertise to make a genuine difference and who would enjoy playing an active part in helping us build a strong and sustainable future.
